TUNING UP

I am writing today getting ready for the Boston series. The Yankees have been hitting the crap out of the ball the past few games. After leaving Oakland the bats of the Bronx Bombers has been awaken from the dead.

This weekend series with the Boston Red-Sox, should be one those great series with Boston. The Yankees should sweep them. Boston may have pitching but the Yankees have the hitting to overcome that lack of pitching. I know good pitching should beat great hitting, but in this case the Yankees should crush those Red Sox.

Another topic of interesting reading is the age-old question, which team is the best of ALL time. I know I might be a little basis, but the Yankees of the late 90's have my Vote! I would have to say the Yankees of the 60's would match up with the teams of the 90's, but I would give the edge to the 90's Yankees teams. Some of you out there might think the REDS of the 70's are a great pick, yes but the Yankees of the 90's would destroy them. Another thing I would like to find out what you guys think would be who is the greatest Shortstop of all time. I would like to say Derek Jeter, but give him a little more time in the league. I think the shortstop that changed the game of baseball was: Cal Ripkin JR, and the wizard, Ozzie Smith. With all of this steroids talk, they come to mind, they were straight professional, hitting and fielding, and off the field they were also great for the game!
