BATTLE IN THE BAY

Finally a game to watch I guess that is the problem you have when you live in Northern California and a Yankee Fan.

After watching Friday's game Yankees against the Oakland A's. I was not disappointed in the loss. The A's and the Yankees always play tough and close games. But one thing about this game the Yanks had this game one, but once again, there pitching cost us the game. This just proves that Good Pitching beat great hitting every time.

With this weekend being the 60-year anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking into the game. Today's story will be about what Jackie Robinson meant for baseball. Over the past 60 years baseball has changed. It isn't the way that Jackie Robinson wanted, but every year Major League Baseball has improved. You have to admit if it weren't't for Jackie Robinson we wouldn't't have the foreign players we have today. This is great for baseball. This writers opinion is that know one should wear the #42. If Jackie comes in the league you wouldn't't see the likes of Dave Winfield, his Chambliss, Reggie Jackson, and the best reliever in the game Mariano Rivera.

Today's is one day closer away for the series against those Boston kids. ( weekend of the 20th-22nd) Over the years the game against the Red Sox, have been great. This year isn't different.

Maybe this year A-ROD can get his slump over the Red Sox, so far this season he has been crushing the ball. I know every player goes though this, but A-ROD is closing watched, he could finish with 45 HR's 150 RBI's and hit .380, and if he doesn't't get that Ring or hit well in the playoffs he will not get the credit he deserves. Is this fair?

Saturday nights game against the A's didn't't start well, but finish great. After giving up 3 runs in the 1st inning, the yanks shut down the A's for 12 innings.

I think this last post deserves a spanking from your bro. The grammar in almost every sentence is just terrible. You have a lot of passion and I like this blog so far, but come on, you have to proof these before you post. If your brother is trying to help you get that ESPN gig, he'd be doing you a favor by dishing out punishment for more than just missing deadlines.

On another topic, thanks for paying respect to Jackie Robinson. We could use more heroes like that today.

Don't listen to him, sounds like a grumpy old dude. Your blog makes sense to me.

Sorry if 46 is too old for you. I would just call it mature. If the grammar in that post doesn't bother you, I'm guessing you're about 12. I feel sorry for this generation, growing up on computers and video games, and not learning how to write.

Where's the brother in all this, can he weigh in? I'm guessing he agrees with me.
